The School Day

Organisation of the School Day

Children should arrive at school at 8.45am. Children do not need to come into school until the whistle is blown at 8.50am.  Children remain the responsibility of parents/carers until the teacher has come to collect the class.

On very wet mornings, children may come into the school and go to their classes where they will be supervised.

A member of staff are on duty on the playground from 8:45am, before the start of the school day. For safety reasons children should not arrive at school before this time as supervision cannot be guaranteed.

Children are asked not to play on the Trim Trail in the mornings.

Important Points

Please continually remind your child(ren) (as the staff do) that if you are not there, as expected, at the end of the day, then they must go back into school and tell their teacher. It is very important that parents are there on time to meet children at the end of the day.

Please note that if your child is still with us at 3:40, they will be placed into our After-School club to be supervised which is charged at £8.50.

No children are allowed out of the school gate without permission. Parents should inform the school, in writing, if they want their child(ren) to walk home unaccompanied.
