School Meals

Meals cost £2.40 per day (£12 per week). At present the Government are funding all school meals for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils through the Universal Free School Meals strategy. Therefore, all families whose infant children choose to have a school meal do not have to pay.

Booking and payment for school dinners takes place through ParentPay. Please ensure your child's meal selection is completed with a t least 24 hours notice.

Please note, it is OK for your child to be full-time school dinners or part-time, mixed with packed lunch.

The School Food Standards

The school aims to meet the school food standards and is currently in contact with ‘Active Lancashire’ in order to work towards accreditation of the DfE ’Healthy Schools Rating Scheme’.

Packed Lunches

Parents/Carers are asked to ensure that their child(ren)’s packed lunches offers a variety of foods and in in line with government guidance.  This can be found on our school website.  Parents/Carers will be contacted if their child(ren)’s packed lunches do not follow these government guidelines.  Packed lunches should follow the healthy eating plate guidance.
