Class routines:
P.E. takes place on Tuesday afternoons. This will be a shared session with Year 4 and Miss McGarrigle.
The children will spend Wednesday afternoons in the Year 4 classroom with Mrs Wrigley-Reynolds. This term, they will be studying PSHE and Computing as a mixed Year 3 and Year 4 group.
Year 3 will also spend one hour on Thursday afternoons in the Year 4 classroom with Mrs Wrigley-Reynolds. This term, they will be studying French and Music on alternate weeks as a mixed group.
The children will no longer take part in a daily phonics session (unless it is part of a planned intervention). Instead, they will participate in a whole-class guided reading session.
Home reading books will be changed on Fridays. Please use your child's reading record as often as possible to support and encourage their reading journey. The children will also bring home weekly spellings to practise.
Please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school each day to help keep them hydrated. Cups are available at school if children forget their bottle.
The children have their own pencil case in class. They do not need to bring in any stationary from home.
We know that British weather can be unpredictable, so please send your child to school with a coat every day. A pair of wellies would also be very useful during wet weather so that children can continue to play and explore outdoors.
Our Worker of the Week will take home our very own class mascot, Mickey Mouse, as a special reward. Please look after Mickey and take him on as many adventures as possible! If you could take photographs and send them in to help fill our scrapbook, we would be delighted to see them
