The Year 3 Team
Monday, Tuesday , Wednesday: Mrs Nichols
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Mrs Carter
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Newman
Reading books must be brought into school every day. This is so that children can read their books during Guided Reading sessions or read with a teacher. Now reading books can be changed whenever the children have finished reading them as long as reading records have been signed by an adult at home.
Swimming will take place on Tuesday afternoons.
Must be complete and in school at all times. PE will be on Monday afternoon. Year 3 are no longer swimming.
Will be given out at the beginning of the half term.
Children will be given a choice of fun activities, linked to what we are learning at school, to complete in their own time at home, along with some maths work to support this half term's topics.
In addition to this children will be expected to do daily reading and practise times tables using:
TIMES TABLE ROCK STARS!!!
They can also practise number bonds to 100 using HIT THE BUTTON
There is an excellent website which has games to help the children with the spelling of common exception words. Click on the link to go straight to it!
The best way to practise maths at home is to use the Mathletics website to exercise your maths muscles! Click on the link below and it will take you there.
Assessment in Year 3
Below are the objectives we will cover in Year 3 and the objectives the children will need to meet to be working towards, working at expected and working at greater depth in Year 3.
