Our Guided Reading text for this half term is Jim and The Beanstalk by Raymond Briggs. We will be using V.I.P.E.R.S. to look closely at the text, improve our vocabulary, explain and make predictions.

In maths we will be learning about position and direction. We will also be learning to tell the time. We will be learning to tell the time to quarter of the hour intervals before moving on to 5 minute intervals.

We will be looking at some of the plants and animals in our local environment. We will also be looking at how these plants and animals are suited to these habitats. We will be learning how plants and animals depend on each other and how some simple food chains work.

In R.E. we will be looking at the why the church is such a special place for Christians. We will then link this to learn about the holy places of other faiths.
