Organisation of the School Day
Children should arrive at school at 8.45am. Children do not need to come into school until the whistle is blown at 8.50am.
On very wet mornings children may come into the school and go to their classes where they will be supervised.
A member of staff is on duty in the playground from 8:45am, before the start of the school day. For safety reasons children should not arrive at school before this time as supervision cannot be guaranteed.
a) If for any reason a child must arrive at school much earlier than normal (and they are not in our breakfast club), prior arrangements must be made, in writing, with the Headteacher.
b) If parents need to see the class teacher at the end of the day it is very helpful if they wait until the classroom is clear thus avoiding congestion.
c) Please continually remind your child(ren) (as the staff do) that if you are not there, as expected, at the end of the day, then they must go back into school and tell their teacher. It is very important that parents are there on time to meet children at the end of the day.
d) No children are allowed out of the school gate without permission. Parents should inform the school, in writing, if they want their child(ren) to walk home unaccompanied.
