Welcome to St Francis Church of England Primary School.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I hope you find the information about our school interesting and informative.
St Francis Church of England Primary School is a popular voluntary aided school where we all work by our mission statement, 'Love Faith. Love People. Love Learning.'
In our Christian, caring school our vision is to aim for exceptional teaching and learning, inspiring our pupils to be the best that they can be. We constantly strive to improve our standards at all times in order to give our children the best educational opportunities. We provide a high quality education and our curriculum is enriched with real life experiences and encourages children to think imaginatively and make well informed choices. There is a strong determination to make every child’s life here a rich and rewarding experience so that they leave with a love of learning, high self-esteem, pride in their success and a readiness to enjoy the challenges in life.
We pride ourselves on having a hardworking and committed team of professionals who have high expectations for our children and strive to achieve the highest standards possible within a safe, happy and caring environment.
Alongside our families we encourage children to behave well, to show tolerance and understanding and to be kind to others in school and to become good citizens in wider society. The children are encouraged to become involved in extra-curricular activities, including a wide variety of sports clubs, and we also have well led groups such as St Francis C of E School Council, Eco Warriors and our hard working P.T.A. who all contribute so much to the life of our school.
All the pupils, parents, staff and governors are very proud of St Francis C of E Primary and its achievements, and visitors often comment upon the strong faith aspect and friendly nature of the school. Within a safe, supportive and caring environment, we seek to maintain the values of Christ’s Gospel, and alongside the children have agreed upon eight core values which underpin all our work - trust, hope, compassion, thankfulness, endurance, service, creation and fellowship, which shape our work and life here together.
