This term's topic is The Great Fire of London. First we will learn what 'history' is. We will be finding out about our capital city and looking at what it was like in the 1600's. We learn about how the great fire began and how the people tried to put it out. We also learn about historical evidence and about Samuel Pepys' diary.
In Design Technology we will be examining levers and trying out techniques of paper fastening to make levers work. We will then use our skills to make an illustration of the Great Fire of London.
You can find out more about our learning from our learning overview document.
In English we are really trying hard to learn how to use capital letters and full stops in every sentence that we write! We will be reading Handa's Surprise and creating our own versions of this story.
